A service to celebrate Belita's life will be 11:00 am Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Avenue, St. Paul Park with visitation one hour prior.
She was born in New Jersey and has been making the world better for all of us ever since. So many, many things can be said about such a wonderful woman, here are merely a few things…
She was generous and compassionate, helping those who came to her, without judgment or condemnation. She studied in child psychology, had a career in law enforcement and gave to multiple charities.
Within the family she was the lynch-pin that held together her children, siblings and cousins as well as the vast extended family and friends who wanted to shelter under her umbrella.
An avid reader and a consummate shopper, she was a self-proclaimed "fashionista". She loved Star Trec, Bettie Davis and was the undisputed sports guru of the family. She was witty and charming, making friends easily and admirers even quicker. Belita – "Billie" – "Titi" was the truth of saying "to know her is to love her" however to be loved by her was to know comfort, peace and joy.
Beloved Mother of Jose, Angela, Jennifer, India and Shaun. Cherished Daughter of Belita and Felius. Blessed Sister of India, Walter, Angelo, Dino and Antion. Revered Grandmother of Santiago, Rosamaria, Marcela, Victoria, Marcel and Travis. Adored Great-Grandmother of Eisiah, Christine, Landen, Shyanne, Veronika, Angelo and Jayden. Worshipped Aunt of Miyoshi, Anthony, Dino, Indirah, Sianne and Lion.
