Jeff Anderson

Jeffrey "Jeff" Anderson, 61, of Newport, passed away unexpectedly January 5th, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Jeff was born October 10, 1953 to Warren and Bette Anderson. He was a lifelong resident of Newport. On May 24, 1975 he married his dear wife Carol Perkins, together they raised Michelle and Jonathan.

Jeff was active with the Newport Fire department, police reserves and served on the city council. He worked at Fritzie Fresh Candy Company of Newport, and most recently enjoyed driving his BMW as a professional chauffeur with Total Luxury Limousine getting to know a variety of clients and friends he came in contact with.

His hobbies included fishing, golfing, watching sports, cooking, collecting coins and baseball cards. Jeff would proudly (and loudly) play his polka albums and classic country. Spending time with his family was always important and cherished to Jeff. He will be remembered for his strong personality, which made him the man we all grew to love.

He is preceded in death by his mother and brother George.

Jeffrey leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Carol; daughter, Michelle Anderson of Woodbury; son, Jonathan Anderson of Newport; father, Warren Anderson Sr. of St. Paul; sister, Jill (Dan) Casey of Hastings; brother, Warren Jr. "Butch" (Cindy) Anderson of Colorado; with many close family and friends.
