John Bezdicek

John C. Bezdicek, age 72, of Surprise, AZ formerly of Cottage Grove, MN passed away peacefully on April 19, 2015 surrounded by loving family.

Preceded in death by wife of 30 years, Janice; parents, Emanuel & Betty; and sister, Carol. Survived by wife, Elaine; children, Jeff (Diana'), Jerry, Joe, Jamey (Andrea), Jennifer, and Jason (Tamara); 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Dave (Trish), Greg (Elaine), Matt (Pennie), and Jim (Diane); sisters, Sharon (Marv) Madsen, Eileen (Brad) Hady, and June (Russ) Sorensen.

John enjoyed having family and friends visit him and Elaine in AZ, playing tuba and bass guitar for many years in the Pig's Eye Jazz and Mouldy Figs Bands, golf, and tinkering with electronics.

Visitation 4-8 PM, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove and 10-11 AM Saturday at church. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Church of St. Rita, 8694 80th St. S., Cottage Grove with interment to follow at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
