Anthony "Tony" Alme

November 9, 1975 — January 31, 2021

Anthony “Tony” Alme, age 45, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2021.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Cottage Grove Cemetery on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 3:00 pm to commemorate Tony's life and will be followed by a time of gathering at 4:00 pm at the St. Paul Park American Legion, 328 Broadway, St. Paul Park.

Tony was born November 9, 1975 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Allen “Buddy” and Michelle (Gallick) Alme. He graduated from Park High School in 1994 and enjoyed playing hockey and baseball, which he excelled in. Tony started his career at The Ford Motor Company in St. Paul where he found his passion for mechanics; he remained there until the plant closed. In 2014 he started working for the USPS where he was currently serving as a mail carrier.

Tony met the love of his life, April Roffers, on July 4, 1999. They experienced many great moments in their lives together. They spent countless hours boating with family on the St. Croix. Tony enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and was a master at smoking and grilling. In 2000, they welcomed their daughter, Savannah, into this world. On August 16, 2014, they were united in marriage at All Saint’s Lutheran Church.

If you knew Tony, you were immediately considered family. Tony knew no stranger. Adults and children alike adored him. Everyone that came into contact with Tony was a recipient of his kindness and generosity. He always had a smile on his face and could make anyone laugh. Tony loved his girls more than anything and had more friends and family than one could count. The outpouring of love and encouragement April and Savannah have received is overwhelming and they are forever grateful.

Tony is survived by his wife April, daughter Savannah, parents Allen “Buddy” and Michelle, brother Chris (Anjanette), and nephews Aidan and Liam. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Einar and Ann Alme and Darrel and Marilyn Gallick.
