Carolyn “Carole” Couillard (née Bergquist) died suddenly and unexpectedly in Woodwinds Hospital on the 28th of December in Woodbury, Minnesota at the age of 89.

Carole is survived by her children; Christopher Couillard (Robyn Couillard) and Tracy Perry (John C. Perry II). She is preceded in death by her Mother, Dorothy Hickey and Husband, Dean Couillard. Also her Fur Grandbabies; Magda, Stanley, Ted, Ellie, Jethro, Pierre and of course Bubba, her husband’s cat.

Carole served in the U.S. Navy from September of 1952 through September of 1955 and was a proud veteran.

Carole worked as an Executive Secretary for many years and help run a large Restaurant Company (Specialty Restaurants). She also helped the Owner with his collections of WWII planes and travel. Once Carole retired, she went on to get a job as a bartender and did that for about another 20 years. She moved to Minnesota in 1998 after the death of her husband and started working at the VFW in Cottage Grove and did that until she was about 80 years old.

Carole loved spending time with her family and all her Fur Grandbabies. She was a sport fan but especially was a dedicated VIKINGS FAN! She also loved to go to the Casino and try her hand at the slots. Carole loved to go on vacations and one of her very favorite trips was to Mt. Rushmore and The Black Hills area.

There will not be a Funeral or Memorial Service at this time due to COVID-19. A celebration of Carole’s life will take place at a later date, COVID-19 permitting. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the charity of your choice in her name. The family would like to thank the whole staff at Woodwinds Hospital for their efforts and dedication to the care of our Mother in her time of need. We also would like to thank the Care Givers at Norris Square.
