Emery Moldrem, age 61, of Chippewa Falls, WI, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2020.
Emery Norman Moldrem was born June 3, 1959 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Norman and Catherine Moldrem. He grew up in Cottage Grove and graduated from Park High School in 1977. He started working at his grandpa’s farm in Cadott, Wisconsin and later took a position at The Lotz Sawmill in nearby Boyd and worked both jobs for quite a while. Most recently, he worked at a trophy shop in Chippewa Falls where he did a variety of things.
Emery enjoyed horses and looked forward to going on trail rides as often as he could. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Emery displayed his creativity by making things out of leather, such as bridles and moccasins as well as using his wood working skills to make things like a rocking horse.
Emery is preceded in death by his father, Norman Moldrem and survived by his mother, Catherine Moldrem, siblings; Karen (Russell) Hazard, Lois Moldrem, Russell (Chris) Moldrem, Linda (George) Arndt, and Donna (Dave) Moldrem; 3 nieces, 1 great niece, and 1 great nephew.
There will be a prayer service at 2 pm, Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th Street S., Cottage Grove with visitation starting at 12:00 pm until the time of service. Interment St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Facemasks will be REQUIRED while in the funeral home facility.
While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to accommodate gatherings while abiding to a 50% capacity at the facility. The use of face masks by attendees is required at indoor events, and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep your families safe.
