Kerry D. Nelson, age 69, of Grey Cloud Island, formerly of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by son, Jeremy Nelson; granddaughter, Cora; father, Clinton; brother, Kevin Nelson; and brother-in-law, Earl Miller. Survived by significant other, Julie Schwebach; children, Joe Nelson, Amanda Nelson (Mike Bloomquist), and Frank (Stacy) Nelson, Joshua (Corinne) Nelson, Jennifer Holden; grandchildren, Technic, Alex, Emma, Terrapin, Ari, and Violet; mother, Rosemarie Nelson; siblings, Craig (Pam) Nelson, Colleen Miller, Tracy (Karla) Nelson, and Brett Nelson; and devoted friend and former wife, Sandy Nelson.

Celebration of Life visitation will be 4-8 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN, 55071. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
