Obituary

Larry Douglas Abernethy, 75, died Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, in St. Paul surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on Feb 24th, 1947, in Duluth, MN to William and Catherine Abernethy. Larry loved watching vintage car auctions and searching for a replacement for his first car, a 1968 Dodge Charger.

Larry married Suzette Fournier on Jan 11, 1969. They enjoyed summer in MN, and Wintered in AZ. They enjoyed many travel adventures including Japan, Hawaii, Alaska, tour around the entire Lake Superior, and a Caribbean cruise. They were blessed with two children, Carie, and Craig.

He worked as a machinist for 32 years. He then worked as a realtor, until he finally decided to retire.

Larry is survived by his wife, Suzette, his children, Carie (Bill Kenney) and Craig (Teresa), his grandchildren, Cody, Shauna, Makayla, William, Malia, and Carrick. Also survived by brother, Bill (Joan) and sister Colleen, plus many other family and friends.

Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth, MN on June 24, 2022, at 1:00 pm.
