Obituary

Robert “Bob” Paul Purdy, age 73 of Newport, passed away at his home and surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. 

Bob was the type of person you could always count on; he would do anything for anybody. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a lifelong member of the VFW and American Legion. Bob worked as a Pipefitter for 3M.  

Bob is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Carrie (Dan) Milligan and Adam Weller; grandson, Nicholas Affolter; sisters, Colleen (Terry) Sicard and Maureen (Dan) Moriarty; and many nieces and nephews.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Patricia; and nephew, Phoenix.  

A visitation will be held at Kok Funeral Home (1201 Portland Ave St. Paul Park, MN) on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 12pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 2pm. Celebration of Life to follow the Memorial Service at the St. Paul Park American Legion.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
