Thomas “Tom” C. Dack, age 72, of Cottage Grove, formerly of S. St. Paul.
Passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Preceded in death by wife of 49 years, Jane; parents, William and Phyllis; three brothers; and one sister. Survived by children, Bill (Suzie), Rob (Lisa), Scott (Audrey), Tanya (Brian) Dack; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Thomas Claude Dack was born July 19, 1948 in Sandstone, MN to William and Phyllis (Creighton) Dack. At a young age his family moved to Mound, MN where he grew up and later graduated from Mound High School in 1966. Tom met Jane Bletsoe and the two were married at All Saint's Lutheran Church on October 28, 1967 and they made their home in South St. Paul, MN. Tom worked at the City of South St. Paul as a street maintenance worker for several years. In 1994, Tom and Jane moved to Apache Junction, AZ. Tom became Assistant General Manager of Apache Greyhound Park and worked there until just prior to when they moved back to St. Paul Park, MN in 2015. Tom then went to work at Fury Motors in So. St. Paul driving cars from dealership to dealership until this past summer. Tom enjoyed fishing, boating, playing games, talking to his friends in the morning at Park Café in St. Paul Park, just putzing around at the cabin and most of all spending time with his children, grandchildren and his great-grandchildren.
Private family memorial service 10:30 AM, Monday, November 2, 2020, Kok Funeral Home, 1201 Portland Ave., St. Paul Park, MN, 55071 with public visitation beginning at 11 AM-1 PM. Masks are required.
